I was highly anticipating the new Pride and Prejudice movie but i have to admit i was a little disappointed with it. Reviews of this movie say it was great and fantastic. But i think it was just good. The chemistry wasn't there between Elizabeth and Darcy or Elizabeth and Mr. Wickham. Mr Wickham was only in it for a few scenes. There was no real connection with them at all. If i hadn't of seen the original or the BBC series i would have wondered why Darcy loves Elizabeth so much. The movie didn't really go in-depth, into there relationship. Like in the BBC series, and Lizzie is helping Georgina with the piano. Darcy looked at her and u could tell that he loved her. Thank god for the BBC series. They could have added it another 1/2 an hour to it and got more story into it.
The ending totally sucked! i mean TOTALLY! how could they end it like that, with Mr. Bennett in his office. I mean they could have shown Lizzie and Darcy re-uniting after being told that they could b together. But no.
This movie was disappointing although the casting of Elizabeth was OK, but Darcy and the remainder of the cast lead something to b desired. I will buy the DVD, as i love the story behind it.

Pride & prejudice colin firth. I bought this after it's Oscar buzz but I didn't watch it for a very long time. I thought that it would be long and boring, but when I finally did watch it (becuase I wanted something to fall asleep too) I found myself thoroughly engaged. I ended up not falling asleep until after I watched every moment of it and at the end I was very impressed. I've seen all of Knightley's movies and I'm convinced her performance in this was one of the best she may ever do. She really gave it everything she had and I would recommend this to anyone who thinks they may like it. You may be surprised at how easy it is to watch and get involved with.
